Gibson Memphis takes vintage-style humbuckers to the extreme with the 1963 ES-335 TD semi-hollowbody electric guitar. You get a pair of unpotted alnico pickups for true vintage tone. The neck pickup uses Alnico II magnets and the bridge pickup uses Alnico III magnets. They also used matched sets of 550K audio taper pots complete with "Bumblebee" capacitors to finish off the authentic wiring of this semi-hollow beauty. Gibson's Custom Shop took extra care with every detail of the 1963 ES-335 TD semi-hollowbody electric guitar. Every Gibson Memphis guitar receives an ultra-precise Plek Pro setup, which optimizes the fingerboard and nut for incredibly accurate intonation and a "just right" feel. Necks are now attached using hide glue which many argue sounds better than synthetic glue. And little touches like the quartersawn mahogany neck and the 17-degree headstock angle not only add to the amazing tone and feel, they remain true to the ES Series as well as Gibson's history.
