Founded by Leo Fender, and Tom Walker, Musicman made guitars in the 1970's before being purchased and reborn again as a brand for Ernie Balls bass manufacturing of the 1980s. Their guitar models quickly becoming popular with some of the top players of the time, firmly placing Ernie Ball's Music Man instruments in the category of big brands.
An outright original design that still has something Fendery to it, the StingRay is a classic model from music man. This guitar has been modelled on that wonderful 70s design but has a few interesting features to keep things fresh and modern.
It's light weight African Mahogany body has a lovely red finish that sits well with it's tort' guard and lightly tinted maple neck. Stainless steel frets and Alnico 5 humbuckers give plenty of zing while the light body keeps it deep and rich. It sounds almost like it's got fat single coils and it really feels like all the classic electric guitar shapes rolled into one axe!
The own brand tremolo really keep thing stable while giving the feel of a vintage strat's wiggle stick. It's a pleasure to play and sounds incredible. There is a less than a hairline paint crack on heel, impossible to show on photos, other than that it is totaly mint
Comes with a hard case and has been set up to play it's best
