A stunning guitar with a wicked spec list, this Master Design Stratocaster was designed by Greg Fessler and finished in gold sparkle. It's a 64 spec with a round lam board but larger frets and a 9.5" radius. Custom Shop 69 (an Abby hand-wound in this one), Fat 50s and a texas special bridge from stock. The is ever so slightly chunky, but not too fat. Similar in feel to an SRV or John Mayer profile.
Supposedly this is the guitar that made Joe Bonamassa swear off Fender, it was released shortly after they refused to make a signature model of his 64 partscaster 'goldie', although Fender claims it was inspired by a guitar from the Galaxy of Strats book.
Team built and designed by Fessler, they were released in very limited numbers (with even a few master built ones). It's a wicked piece of history and all original with the case, coa, spec sheet and DVD interviewing Fessler and the build process.
