Fender Master Design Greg Fessler Custom Shop '64 Stratocaster 2005 Gold Sparkle Relic
This stunning Strat has been spec'd by Fender Master Builder Greg Fessler and then team built buy the Fender Custom shop. Controversial rumours exist that this guitar was launched as a sort of unapproved signature guitar when Bonamassa and his then gold sparkle strat were gaining notoriety, causing Bonamassa to then lean towards Gibson's shortly after. Whether or not the rumours are true, it does have the look of 'Goldie' from those classic Rockapalast videos!
While it's a stunning guitar to look at, the tone and play-ability don't let the side down. It's 7.68lb alder body is a nice medium weight and rings out with outstanding resonance and depth. The pickups have been replaced with Dave Allen Echos, a black pickguard and a push pull tone pot for tapping the bridge pickup. Apart from this the guitar is completely original.
This Strat is graced with an extremely desirable Brazilian rosewood board that has a stunning grain. The combination of medium jumbo frets and 9.5" make it a joy to play. It comes with the original spec sheet, case candy and custom shop hardcase.
All our guitars are meticulously fret dressed, set up and restrung to give you a guitar that feels and plays perfectly while maximising it's full tonal potential.
Customisation is a service we will happily provide for little extra cost. If you wish to have a specific set of pickups or parts fitted, we will happily oblige. Please don't hesitate to ask!
