The Les Paul is an unmistakable icon of rock and roll history. Designed by the Jazz guitarist Les Paul, it was one of the very early versions of the electric guitar. After a few refinements on the original, it hit the market in 1952 and has remained almost unchanged since. Some things are just done right the first time.
This weighty beast hits the 10lb mark but the trade off is amonster sounding Les Paul! Don't be fooled by forum folklore though, light guitars aren't always the 'best'. While this one is on the heavier side it sounds absolutely incredible. Powerful, punchy and dirty, it's a tone monster. I guarantee when you start playing it you won't be able to stop! The 50's neck is always a joy to play, giving the player enough meat to hold onto without being awkward or noticeably big.
Looks wise the heritage cherry sunburst sits nicely on top of a very unusual, slightly quilted looking flame maple top. The cherry back and sides give classic Les Paul looks and it's super dark rosewood board looks almost like ebony.
It's in immaculate condition and has obviously been well looked after and hardly played! As always it's been set up to play and sound as best it can. Comes with the original documents and red lined Gibson hard case.

Here's what Gibson say about the Les Paul Traditional
Les Paul Traditional 2017 T A trip back in time to the Les Paul's golden era. A Les Paul inspired by the legendary late '50s Les Pauls, with all the benefits of modern-era Gibsons. From a distance—with its Traditional features and accurate Grade-AA maple top on a solid mahogany body—this Les Paul could be mistaken for a guitar kept under the bed since 1959. Once in your hand, Les Paul Traditional 2017 T unveils subtle but incredibly significant advances: rolled binding, polished frets, and a rounded neck profile make this guitar extremely comfortable to play. Wired ABR and aluminum stopbar with steel posts deliver incredible resonance and sustain while Burstbuckers 1 and Burstbuckers 2 humbuckers with Orange Drop tone caps crank out dynamic, expressive PAF-inspired tones. Put it all together, and it's a superb take on the best of Les Pauls past, made for today's demanding player. It is delivered in a classic Gibson brown hardshell case with a Gibson multi-tool, a premium leather strap and a polishing cloth.
