The Gretsch G6114 was launched in 2001 (and then discontinued in 2003) as a modern version of the classic solid body Jet that Gretsch is so well known for.

For a none Gibson guitar it's a real Les Paul killer! Clean snappy and full of classic Gretsch sparkle it can do it all. Nails all those amazing rhythm tones of Malcolm Young to Johnny Cash!

It's in great condition with only a few knocks. As always it's been fret-dressed, restrung and fully set up to plays it's best.

At 7.85 lbs, it's a joy to play a single cut mahogany bodied guitar this light. Comes with the original Gretsch hard case.

Factory blurb below, thanks for looking!

"Smooth, sleek and sexy are the new Jet 6114 guitars from Gretsch! They embrace all that makes a modern guitar classic; simple clean lines and a straight-up, solid body electric setup. Outfitted with TV Jones Dual FilterTron pickups, Tune-O-Matic bridge and a G-stop tailpiece; the sound is pure Gretsch – trademark Kerrang!

The lightweight mahogany body is capped with a carved maple top and flame maple laminate to create the perfect balance between tone, beauty and player comfort. The finish is a silky smooth, deep clear gloss over a see-through-stain of either vibrant red or antique maple. The appearance is absolutely stunning! The 2-pc mahogany neck has an immediate, old-friend feel and is fitted with an ebonized rosewood fingerboard and the classic Gretsch “Humped” block inlays. The 24.6″ scale makes string bending smooth and effortless over the finely finished jumbo frets.

Controls are simple, straight ahead, classic Gretsch. Toggle switching and volume or tone roll-offs operate smoothly and silently. Turn down the master or pickup volume and you get a clear, warm, jazzy, mid-rich sound that tingles with crispness. Crank’er up and she blazes clear, unadulterated, Gretsch rock-a-billy! The pickups sound brilliant yet silent and the trapeze tail adds a slight but detectable ringing to the top end. Nice.

The new Gretsch 6114 Jets are great sounding, beautiful guitars. They are simple yet sophisticated. They are sure to win the hearts of modern guitar lovers and soon to join the ranks of true Gretsch classic. "
