Founded in Maryland, 1985, Paul Reed Smith guitars have become a brand as recognisable as any major electric guitar manufacturer. Designed to be completely original while taking inspiration from timeless other designs, PRS use the best wood, highest manufacturing standards and non stop research to make guitars that create a bridge between instruments and works of art. Not only do they play, sound and feel like an ultimate version of the electric guitar, they're dam sexy.
The Swamp Ash Special is a newer design for PRS compared to the Custom models and was created to fill a gap in the manufacturing line up where ash based guitars and all their tonal wonder was missing. As always with PRS Guitars this one's swamp ash body has been finished in a devastatingly gorgeous transparent 'Blue Matteo' that show's off the grain perfectly
It's maple neck and rosewood fret-board sport the instant;y recognisable bird inlays that PRS have become so famous for. The wide fat neck profile and modern frets/radius make a guitar that almost plays itself.
A wealthy of tonal options are on tap with PRS's wonderful mix of humbucker and middle pickup activating switch options. The McCarty neck and bridge pickups give you classic vintage humbucker tone that fits so well with the guitars ash body. From Dire Straights to Van Halen, this guitar can do it all.
As always it's been set up, fret dressed and restrung so it plays and sounds as good as it possibly can. Comes with the original PRS hardcase.
