Crafting the Taylor Builder’s Edition 717e

The tried and tested combination of Rosewood and Spruce is here again, for that traditional look and sound.

Torrefied Sitka Spruce is used for the top of the Taylor 717e, as it produces loud, rich and resonant tone. Being torrefied, this top gives you the rich sound of an aged guitar, right from day one.

Indian Rosewood is used for the back and sides of the Taylor 717e electro-acoustic guitar, complementing the rich tones of the Sitka Spruce top with deep and warm bass tones along with enhanced resonance.

The Taylor Builder’s Edition 717e also benefits from V-Class bracing, drastically changes the way the top vibrates, giving you more powerful projection and greater sustain.

With an innovative undersaddle pickup system, the Expression System 2 electronics capture all the dynamics of your playing.
